The upazila administration has been conducting a series of mobile courts in its campaign against illegal mini petrol pumps and illegal sand extraction from the river in Dimla Upazila of Nilphamari district.
On March 12, a fine of (fifty thousand) taka was imposed on one person for extracting and transporting sand from the river in Nautara Union under the Balumahal and Soil Management Act, 2010.
On March 11, 2026, a fine of (fifteen thousand) taka was imposed on an illegal mini petrol pump in Khagakhribari Union through a mobile court.
On March 10, 2026, a fine of (thirty thousand) taka was imposed on an illegal mini petrol pump in Nautara Union through a mobile court. In addition, monitoring is being carried out to ensure that fuel oil is being supplied properly to the petrol pumps in Dimla Upazila.
The mobile courts are operated by Assistant Commissioner (Land), Dimla and Executive Magistrate Mr. Rawshan Kabir, Executive Magistrate of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Nilphamari Mr. Md. Tanjir Islam and Mr. Prosen Jit Das. In the public interest, the mobile courts will continue to be operated by the Upazila Administration, Dimla.
